Can Composite Decking Be Installed in Winter?

As composite decking is made from recycled plastics it has a more durable outer layer than traditional timber decking and can be installed during the colder, winter months. However,  you should take some precautions and make sure the surface is clean and dry before installation.

Once installed, you can benefit from the peace of mind that your Ecoscape composite decking is durable and does not require treating, painting or sealing to stay in great condition in the winter elements.

Please refer to the Ecoscape composite decking installation guide which will inform you of the mm gap to leave at the end of boards. The gap left in winter is different to that in the summer months. The suggested gap to leave depends on the length of the composite decking board and the temperature at the time of installation.
