Where to Buy Composite Fencing

Composite fencing is quickly becoming the most popular choice for fencing in the UK. This is due to many factors and all the advantages that it has over more traditional types of fencing such as timber.

Due to this, there are now a huge number of suppliers and manufacturers of composite fencing for you to choose from. So, it’s important that you take the time to examine what’s on offer and make the best decision possible.

In this article, we’re going to take a close look at the amazing composite fencing products in our range to show you why we believe Ecoscape is the best place for you to buy your composite fence.

Why Should You Buy Composite Fencing?

There are many reasons to choose composite fencing panels over other fencing materials such as wood or vinyl. They’re low-maintenance, eco-friendly, highly durable, and very long-lasting.

They’re also incredibly versatile and can complement the style of any home and garden. If you install composite fencing in your outdoor space you’ll have an attractive and durable addition to your home that’ll last for many years to come.

Why Should You Buy Composite Fencing From Ecoscape?

Our range of composite fence panels is one of the very best on the market. All of our boards and composite products are scratch-resistant, water-resistant, rot-resistant, UV-resistant, and much more.

Our customers give us high ratings for customer service and we are dedicated to supplying composite products that help build towards a sustainable future.

Warranty

One of the great benefits of composite fencing is its incredible longevity. This is due to the fact that it’s made with a mixture of reclaimed wood and recycled plastics. These materials mean that it’s very resistant to moisture absorption and rot.

The resistance to moisture and rot means that composite materials have an average lifespan of between 25 and 30 years. This makes composite fencing one of the longest-lasting fencing products on the market.

All of our composite fence boards come with a 20-year warranty. This demonstrates the confidence we have in the quality of our composite fencing to provide excellent performance for many years.

Range of colours

Composite fence panels have a high level of performance but they are also aesthetically pleasing. They combine the practical properties of composite with a natural, wood-grain finish. This means that they suit any style of garden from the traditional to the modern.

Our range of composite fencing boards comes in five contemporary colours. These are graphite, charcoal, walnut, spiced oak, and silver birch.

This array of colours provides you with plenty of options and we’re sure that you’ll find a colour to perfectly complement your home.

Easy installation

Another benefit of composite fencing is that it’s really easy to install. Other types of fence panels, such as wood, are heavy and hard to manoeuvre. This means you need outside help to install them and may even have to hire a contractor.

Our composite fence boards come in small modules that can be easily stacked on top of each other to reach the desired height. You can choose to install composite fence posts or simply slot the boards in between existing concrete posts.

As it’s so easy to install composite fencing you will save a lot of time and hassle. You will also save money as you won’t need to hire a professional contractor to install composite fencing for you.

Eco-friendliness

Composite fencing is the most eco-friendly fencing available. As it’s made with reclaimed wood and recycled plastic it means that no trees are cut down to make it and less plastic is sent to landfills.

Unlike vinyl fencing, no harmful toxins are released into the environment during the manufacturing process. Also, as it’s so low-maintenance, there is no need to use treatments, sealants, or stainers to maintain its longevity.

These products often contain harmful chemicals that can leak into the water table and contribute to pollution.

Ecoscape’s composite fence panels are made using 95% recycled materials and FSC-certified wood. This means that our products have a low impact on the environment and help to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our Other Composite Fencing Products

As well as our range of composite fencing boards, we also have other exciting lines of fencing products that complement our boards.

Although our composite fencing boards can work well with any existing features in your garden, our other products give you the opportunity to install a full composite fencing system.

Composite gates

When you install composite fencing in your garden you may also want to install a composite gate to provide an entrance and exit to your outdoor area.

Installing a gate can also be a good way to break up your composite fence and create a sense of connection to the exterior of your garden.

Ecoscape’s range of composite gates comes in three colours; graphite, charcoal, and walnut. Like our composite fencing, they are low-maintenance and durable. They’re available in heights of 4 feet, 5 feet, and 6 feet to accommodate the heights of most fences.

The gates are preassembled to make them very easy to install.

When choosing your gate you could select a colour that matches the colour of your composite fence. Or, you could choose a different colour to create an element of contrast in your outdoor area.

Composite fence posts

If you don’t have existing concrete posts at your property or are planning to replace them, then you can choose from our range of composite fence posts.

They’re available in the same five contemporary colours as our composite fencing boards meaning they can seamlessly blend in with the rest of your fence.

They’re just as low-maintenance as our composite boards and as easy to install.

Our range includes corner posts, inter posts, and end posts so you can install a full composite fence post system.

Fence rails

The best way to finish off a composite fence is to use our range of fence rails. Our composite top rail is designed to sit atop our composite fencing boards and complete the look whilst also providing added protection and support.

We also have aluminium bottom rails that you can use as a foundation for your composite fencing boards to provide durable stability.

Both the top rails and bottom rails are available in the same five colours as our range of composite fencing boards. This means you can provide continuity of colour and style right the way through your fence.

Post caps

Our composite posts caps are designed to perfectly finish the ends of our composite posts. They’re also available in graphite, charcoal, silver birch, spiced oak, and walnut.

They have the same durability and longevity as our other composite products meaning they’re resistant to rot, UV rays and much more.

Base plates

Usually, when installing a fence, you will be required to put a steel fence insert into the ground of your garden in order to secure the fence. Our base plates simply attach to the aluminium bottom rails to secure them to the ground.

This avoids the hassle of inserting any kind of support into the ground and prevents any damage from being caused to your garden.

How Much Does Composite Fencing Cost?

The costs of composite fencing vary widely between suppliers and manufacturers. However, composite fencing is still usually more expensive than some other fencing materials such as wood. This only applies to upfront costs though.

As composite fencing is so low-maintenance you will save a significant amount of money on its upkeep. For example, wood fence panels need to be regularly treated, sealed, and stained to prevent them from rotting.

Composite fencing doesn’t require any of these things meaning that you don’t need to buy these expensive products in order to maintain it.

Our composite fencing range has some of the most affordable options on the market.

  • Composite fence boards – £15.31 per board
  • Composite gates – £466.67 – £586.68
  • Composite inter posts – £32.08 – £49.62
  • Composite corner posts – £33.41 – £51.67
  • Composite end posts – £32.95 – £50.94
  • Composite top rails – £8.20
  • Aluminium bottom rails – £20.00

FAQs

Do composite fence boards warp?

As with any fencing product containing wood, composite boards do expand and contract during temperature fluctuations. This means that they will expand in high temperatures and contract in low temperatures.

However, composite boards are designed to withstand these minor contractions and expansions meaning that they won’t warp or crack due to changes in temperatures.

This is an advantage that they have over wooden fencing which contracts and expands far more significantly.

Do composite fences fade in sunlight?

Composite boards are highly resistant to UV rays meaning that they don’t fade much after prolonged exposure to sunlight. This is mostly due to the plastic content within the boards which gives them protection from UV light.

Your composite boards may fade slightly in the first few months after they’re installed. However, this process should cease quickly and the fading shouldn’t be too noticeable.

If you’re concerned about fading then it may be best to choose dark-coloured composite boards as they fade less than light-coloured ones.

Are composite fences wind-resistant?

Composite fences are very sturdy and can withstand harsh weather conditions such as high winds. This is partly due to the materials that are used to make them but is also due to the fact that they are installed horizontally.

This creates a more resilient structure than you would find in traditional timber panels that are installed vertically.

Can I paint my composite fence?

There is no need to paint your composite boards as they are water-resistant and will arrive pre-coloured. However, if you want to paint your fence it is possible to do so. You should use primer and acrylic paint.

This will negate one of the best benefits of composite fencing which is its lack of maintenance needs. If you paint it you will have to re-paint it fairly regularly. This will cost you time and money over the course of your fence’s service life.
